Despite rising interest rates and inflationary pressures, Canadian small businesses are demonstrating notable resilience. According to a July 2025 CIBC poll, 71% of small business owners say their operations are doing “great” or “okay.” Even more striking, 78% express long-term optimism about their business future.
In response to economic uncertainty, 75% are actively pursuing new growth strategies, such as service expansion or entering new markets. However, managing cash flow and navigating financial complexity remain major concerns. The findings highlight a growing demand for strategic business planning and financial guidance across Canada’s SME sector.
