According to Boston Consulting Group (BCG), AI can augment or automate over 80% of corporate affairs tasks, reshaping how companies manage communications, planning, and reporting.
Key findings:
AI could reclaim 26–36% of employee time.
Current cost savings stand at 14–18%, potentially rising to 20–28% in 3–5 years.
Productivity gains could reach 34–47%.
About 83% of work will require AI-human collaboration, 9% can be fully AI-led, and just 8% remains entirely human.
Agentic AI—systems that act autonomously and adapt to changes, will deliver the highest savings in planning, analytics, and external communications.
BCG stresses that cost savings don’t necessarily mean job cuts but rather a shift toward more efficient corporate functions.
